The Modernization of BOF Convertors Project aims to enhance occupational health and safety (OHS) and ensure the sustainability of the steel production process by addressing issues that have arisen due to approximately 30 years of equipment usage. The metalurgical volume of the 120-ton converters has been increased, reaching a production capacity of 130 tons. Erdemir Engineering has contributed to feasibility studies, planning, design, procurement, and project execution processes within the scope of the projects. A factory shutdown was awaited for the assembly of the converters. Within the scope of the project, converters were commissioned on July 13, 2023, August 17, 2023, and October 11, 2023.
