The slurry waste resulting from the grinding and enrichment process at the Divriği Concentration Plant is stored in the Derindere Tailings Dam. In this project, it is aimed to raise the crest elevation of the dam by 5 meters in order to increase the capacity of the dam built for the storage of wastes from the Iron Ore Enrichment and Pellet Facility. The dam crest elevation has been raised from 1,071 meters to 1,076 meters in order to increase the storage capacity of the dam. Additionally, the reservoir area of the dam has been expanded through excavation. Increasing the capacity of Derindere dam also increased its OHS and environmental performance. Erdemir Engineering has contributed to feasibility studies, planning, design, procurement, and project execution processes. The project was commissioned on March 15, 2023.
