It is aimed to prevent quality defects caused by the deviation of the material from the desired wrapping temperature due to problems such as the current header system being very complex, replacement and maintenance times being very long, difficulties in the supply of existing spare parts, uncontrolled water flows, valve malfunctions, clogged nozzles. A new header design was made by keeping the flow rates in the existing header the same and considering ease of maintenance. Within the scope of the study, it is anticipated that approximately 416 men hours of labor will be generated per year. Work within the scope of engineering, design and technical drawing took 24 months and was completed in 2020.

Objective Complicated old header desing (Laminar cooling system)
Frequently clogging of nozzles and breakages of valves which causes uncontrolled water flow. And uncontrolled water flow was causing quality problems due to temp.nonhomogenity along the strip.
Solution A complete new, easy maintenance, simple header design where the water flow is kept same as before.
Tailored Approach A complete new, easy maintenance, simple header design where the water flow is kept same as before.
