Sublance system provides sampling in basic oxygen furnaces in the steel production process and instant measurement of the liquid steel bath to obtain %C and O ppm values. Consumables such as T, TS, TSC and TSO are used in using this equipment. The consumables come into contact with the probe holder part of the sublance system. Considering the converter operating conditions, the need to change the design of the probe holder equipment has emerged. By changing the design of the probe holder, it is desired to gain profit from wastage caused by shaking and also to make the probe holder equipment easily replaceable. In this way, it is aimed to reduce the assembly-disassembly time and to improve the deviations in the produced qualities due to sublance system. Within the scope of the study, it is envisaged to generate approximately 25,000 USD per year. Work within the scope of engineering, technical drawing and manufacturing took 6 months and was completed in 2020.
